About this app

Trayzero brings David Allen's Getting Things Done (GTD) method to your phone. Free, open source, no ads, no account, no sign-up. Your data lives on your device. Always.

THE FIVE GTD STEPS, BUILT IN

Capture — one tap, anywhere. A floating Capture button on every screen. Share anything from any app straight into your inbox. Voice-to-text for hands-free thoughts. A home-screen widget for the fastest possible "add to inbox."

Clarify — the killer flow. Process Inbox runs you through your captures one at a time, card-stack style. Each card walks the full GTD decision tree: actionable? Two-minute rule? Delegate? Single step or a project? When? Where? You hit inbox-zero faster than you thought possible.

Organize — the canonical GTD lists. Inbox, Next Actions, Projects, Waiting For, Someday/Maybe, Calendar, Reference. Plus a real Project type with outcome, next-action warning, and Active / On Hold / Someday / Done / Dropped status. Seven default @-contexts you can extend (@phone, @computer, @errands, @home, @office, @anywhere, @waiting). Areas of Responsibility for the higher altitudes.

Reflect — a Weekly Review wizard. A seven-step review walks you through the canonical GTD pass: clear inbox, review next actions, check waiting-for, scan calendar, review someday/maybe, look at projects, set next week's intentions. Daily review supported too.

Engage — do now. The Engage tab filters Next Actions by Context, Energy (low / medium / high), and Time Available (<5m / <15m / <30m / <1h). Pull up the actions that match the moment you're in.

REMINDERS THAT ACTUALLY WORK Due-date, defer-until, waiting-for follow-up, and weekly-review nudges fire as system notifications with action buttons — Done, Snooze, Move to Next Actions. Reminders survive reboots and app updates. Opt-in two-way calendar sync mirrors dated items into your system calendar.

VOICE, PHOTOS, AUDIO Capture by voice. Attach photos or voice memos to any item.

PRIVACY YOU DON'T HAVE TO THINK ABOUT - 100% on-device. SQLite under the hood. - No account, no servers, no analytics. - Crash reporting is opt-in and off by default. - Backup/restore as plain JSON: you own your data, you can take it anywhere.

MATERIAL 3, LIGHT + DARK A sunrise-amber palette, slidable rows, accessibility-friendly text scaling and TalkBack labels.

WHO IT'S FOR - GTD practitioners who want a clean, focused app that respects the method. - Anyone tired of cloud-syncing personal task data through someone else's servers. - People who want their tasks where their phone is — and nowhere else.

How to install this safely

How to verify the file you downloaded

Before you install anything, confirm the file is the one described here. On a computer, run shasum -a 256 your-download.apk (macOS or Linux) or certutil -hashfile your-download.apk SHA256 (Windows), then compare the output character-for-character with the SHA-256 on this page. If a single character differs, the file is not the build we recorded — delete it.

What the signing certificate proves

Every Android app is signed with a private key that only its developer holds. The fingerprint on this page is a hash of the matching public certificate, and it proves continuity rather than identity: it tells you a build came from whoever signed the earlier ones. Android enforces this at install time — if a package claiming to be app.cleartray is signed with a different key, the system will refuse to install it over your existing copy. A fingerprint that changes between releases is worth pausing on, because a repackaged app that has been modified by someone else cannot keep the original signature.

How to roll back to an earlier version

If the current release misbehaves, 1.0.2 is the last build before it. Android will not install an older version code over a newer one, so you must uninstall Trayzero first — which clears its local data unless you have a backup. Reinstall the older APK only if its signing fingerprint matches the build you already trust, and check the API range: an older release may target an Android version your device has moved past.

Why we list sources instead of hosting everything

The official store channel is almost always the right choice: it updates automatically and carries the publisher's own distribution guarantees. A direct APK is useful when a device has no store access, when a rollout has not reached your region, or when you need a specific version — and only when the publisher has authorized that copy. APKBrowse does not list pirated, cracked, or unauthorized rebuilds of Trayzero, and a listing is removed when the evidence for it stops holding up.
