About this app

FixupXer removes tracking parameters from URLs to protect your privacy and make links cleaner. When you share links from social media, shopping sites, or other platforms, they often contain hidden tracking codes that follow you around the internet. FixupXer strips these away.

Key Features

* Browser Mode: Set FixupXer as your default browser for automatic system-wide URL cleaning * Direct Sharing: Share your links directly to FixupXer, no need to open the main app * Privacy Protection: Removes 1000+ tracking parameters from all major platforms * Fast Processing: Cleans any URL in under 0.1 seconds with advanced caching * Offline Operation: Works completely offline - your URLs never leave your device * Platform Support: Works with 25+ platforms including YouTube, Facebook, Amazon, Twitter/X, Instagram, TikTok, Google Search, LinkedIn, Reddit, and more * Smart Conversions: Optional conversion to privacy-friendly alternatives (fixupx.com for Twitter/X, facebookez.com for Facebook, and selectable built-in or custom proxies for Instagram and TikTok) * Custom URL Rules: Build ordered offline rules with host or regex scopes, multiple processing phases, Test Lab previews, templates, and JSON import/export * History Tracking: Keep track of cleaned URLs with optional history feature * Configurable Actions: Choose what happens after cleaning - open in app, browser, share, or copy to clipboard * GitHub Guides: Open detailed Browser mode and Custom URL rules instructions from the How to Use links

Browser Mode Setup

1. Enable Browser Mode in Settings 2. Set FixupXer as your default browser in Android Settings 3. Configure your preferred post-clean actions 4. All web links will now be automatically cleaned before opening

Privacy & Security

* Zero permissions required - no internet, location, or personal data access * 100% open source and auditable * No data collection or transmission * Works entirely on your device

Technical Excellence

* Modular architecture with 11 specialized URL cleaners * Thread-safe design optimized for modern Android devices * Redesigned Material Design 3 interface with full dark mode and a System/Light/Dark theme picker * Full Android 15 compliance with edge-to-edge display support * Comprehensive test suite with browser-mode and URL-processing regression coverage

  • Bug-fix release:
  • * Links opened from the Reddit app no longer land on a "reddit.com/invalid_token" error page: the out.reddit.com destination is now extracted instead of having its functional parameters stripped.
  • * Redirect-wrapper handling is now host-agnostic (Reddit, Facebook, LinkedIn, newsletters, ...), not just Google/Gmail.
  • * Fixed valid single URLs being wrongly rejected on slower devices (validator regexes are now precompiled).
  • * 9 new regression tests.

How to install this safely

How to verify the file you downloaded

Before you install anything, confirm the file is the one described here. On a computer, run shasum -a 256 your-download.apk (macOS or Linux) or certutil -hashfile your-download.apk SHA256 (Windows), then compare the output character-for-character with the SHA-256 on this page. If a single character differs, the file is not the build we recorded — delete it.

What the signing certificate proves

Every Android app is signed with a private key that only its developer holds. The fingerprint on this page is a hash of the matching public certificate, and it proves continuity rather than identity: it tells you a build came from whoever signed the earlier ones. Android enforces this at install time — if a package claiming to be com.fixupxer is signed with a different key, the system will refuse to install it over your existing copy. A fingerprint that changes between releases is worth pausing on, because a repackaged app that has been modified by someone else cannot keep the original signature.

How to roll back to an earlier version

If the current release misbehaves, 2.0.0 is the last build before it. Android will not install an older version code over a newer one, so you must uninstall FixupXer - URL Enhancer first — which clears its local data unless you have a backup. Reinstall the older APK only if its signing fingerprint matches the build you already trust, and check the API range: an older release may target an Android version your device has moved past.

Why we list sources instead of hosting everything

The official store channel is almost always the right choice: it updates automatically and carries the publisher's own distribution guarantees. A direct APK is useful when a device has no store access, when a rollout has not reached your region, or when you need a specific version — and only when the publisher has authorized that copy. APKBrowse does not list pirated, cracked, or unauthorized rebuilds of FixupXer - URL Enhancer, and a listing is removed when the evidence for it stops holding up.
