Local-first intermittent fasting, calorie, weight & workout tracker
About this app
Solo Forge is a free and open source Android fitness app: an intermittent fasting timer, calorie and macro counter, weight tracker, and workout timer in one. No ads, no tracking, fully offline.
It is built around local data ownership:
* No backend * No accounts * No analytics * No crash reporting * Android cloud backup disabled * Full backup and restore to a single file, with optional auto-backup to a folder you choose
Features:
* Intermittent fasting timer with 16:8, 18:6, 20:4, and 36 hour modes * State-driven fasting reminders instead of daily notification spam * Food photo analysis using your own OpenRouter API key * Manual meal entry and editable macro estimates * Local calorie and macro goals * Weight history with charting * Simple, interval, and exercise/rest workout timers * Dashboard for fasting, nutrition, weight, workout time, and streaks * Daily journal notes on the progress calendar
Solo Forge sends a network request only when you start food photo analysis. That request goes to OpenRouter using the API key you provide. All saved meals, weight entries, workouts, fasting history, settings, and exports remain local to your device.

- Write a daily journal note right on the Home calendar — tap any day to add or edit it. Back up everything (entries, journal, settings) to a single JSON file and restore it on a new install, either merging with existing data or replacing it. Setting a backup folder now keeps a continuously updated backup file there; this replaces the old CSV export.

- Type a food description like "100 g watermelon" to get calories and macros without a photo. New setting to turn off all AI features and hide their buttons. Edit the date and time on food and weight entries (great for logging just past midnight). Dark splash screen on dark-themed devices.

- Saved meal presets: turn any logged or manual meal into a one-tap "Quick add" button on the Food screen. Great for prepped meals you eat repeatedly, with no photo or AI call. Long-press a preset to remove it.

How to install this safely
How to verify the file you downloaded
Before you install anything, confirm the file is the one described here. On a computer, run shasum -a 256 your-download.apk (macOS or Linux) or certutil -hashfile your-download.apk SHA256 (Windows), then compare the output character-for-character with the SHA-256 on this page. If a single character differs, the file is not the build we recorded — delete it.
What the signing certificate proves
Every Android app is signed with a private key that only its developer holds. The fingerprint on this page is a hash of the matching public certificate, and it proves continuity rather than identity: it tells you a build came from whoever signed the earlier ones. Android enforces this at install time — if a package claiming to be com.kbul.spicycrab is signed with a different key, the system will refuse to install it over your existing copy. A fingerprint that changes between releases is worth pausing on, because a repackaged app that has been modified by someone else cannot keep the original signature.
How to roll back to an earlier version
If the current release misbehaves, 0.2.0 is the last build before it. Android will not install an older version code over a newer one, so you must uninstall Solo Forge first — which clears its local data unless you have a backup. Reinstall the older APK only if its signing fingerprint matches the build you already trust, and check the API range: an older release may target an Android version your device has moved past.
Why we list sources instead of hosting everything
The official store channel is almost always the right choice: it updates automatically and carries the publisher's own distribution guarantees. A direct APK is useful when a device has no store access, when a rollout has not reached your region, or when you need a specific version — and only when the publisher has authorized that copy. APKBrowse does not list pirated, cracked, or unauthorized rebuilds of Solo Forge, and a listing is removed when the evidence for it stops holding up.

Permissions Required
What each permission lets Solo Forge do. A highlighted one is worth a second look — not necessarily wrong, just worth asking whether this app needs it.
Previous Versions
The signing certificate fingerprint for this release is on record, so a build that does not match it did not come from this publisher.
