HOW DOES STAY PUT PREVENT THEFT? Stay Put doesn't physically prevent theft, but it acts as a deterrent. The moment someone unplugs your phone, a loud alarm sounds. The alarm can only be disabled using your biometric data or device credentials – or by plugging the device back to power (if this option is enabled).
CAN I STILL USE MY PHONE WHILE STAY PUT IS ACTIVE? Yes, Stay Put runs in the background and doesn't interfere with normal phone usage. Just remember to disarm it before unplugging your phone.

What the signing certificate proves
Every Android app is signed with a private key that only its developer holds. The fingerprint on this page is a hash of the matching public certificate, and it proves continuity rather than identity: it tells you a build came from whoever signed the earlier ones. Android enforces this at install time — if a package claiming to be org.y20k.stayput is signed with a different key, the system will refuse to install it over your existing copy. A fingerprint that changes between releases is worth pausing on, because a repackaged app that has been modified by someone else cannot keep the original signature.
How to roll back to an earlier version
